Gazing at one of Justine Tjallinks’s  photographs is like being in front of one of the art works of the Old Flemish Masters as one finds the same soft hues, warm light and out of the ordinary characters depicted.

But Justine Tjallinks work is mainly dedicated to bringing out the haunting beauty to be found in bizarre, strange human features such as the effects of albinism disease or the cleft lip malformation.

“Have you ever seen an albino crocodile or lion? I don’t believe there’s anything more beautiful,” said Tjallinks.
