Pininfarina showcased recently the first performance track car based on hydrogen fuel cell technology named H2 Speed. The car has already been track tested by the renowned team of specialists from greenGT, Pininfarina’s Franco-Swiss collaborator which has been designing, developing and producing clean, sustainable propulsion systems since 2008.
The revolutionary ‘Full Hydrogen Power’ technology developed by GreenGT can be described as a powerful electric-hydrogen fuel cell drive chain and the result of implementing it on the H2 Speed project resulted in the first zero emissions vehicle that can reach 300 km/h by releasing just water vapor into the atmosphere.
“With a maximum power of 503 horsepower, the engine accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3. 4 seconds. Also notable is the rapid refueling, unknown to traditional electric cars: a full tank of hydrogen can be done in only 3 minutes”, stated Pininfarina.
